Why?
We place education at the heart of sustainability and are delighted to present our ESDGC conference, which will coincide with the launch of the Welsh legislation for a Single Environment Body - A living Wales – new framework for our environment, our countryside and our seas, which comes into operation in April 2013 and the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Development Bill, due to be introduced this autumn. Agored Cymru is leading the way by responding to the pending Bill by developing and providing units and qualifications which embed ESDGC across all curriculum areas.
We will be launching our suite of QCF Level 5 Leadership for Sustainability Qualifications, which will build upon our existing suite of accredited units that support ‘Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship’ (ESDGC) which is already successfully embedded across all sectors, for all 7 themes of ESDGC.
