A centre has concerns around Learning Outcome 5: A.C. 5.1 relates well as the negative cycle covers behaviour, but A.C. 5.2 could be amended to reflect challenging anxiety provoking thoughts. I feel as it stands it is too vague and negative thoughts are covered in 5.1. I feel it would be of value if we start introducing positive thinking at this point. This will then flow into Learning outcome 6.
Daf Baker, Curriculum Development Manager feels this is expressed through existing assessment criteria relating to anxiety management and any change would fundamentally change the learning outcome.
Therefore the unit will remain as is.
