Curriculum Development Manager: There is an existing team work unit (AF42CY008) in our level 2 Work-related Education qualifications which would provide an equivalent accreditation opportunity for learners rather than Using Teamwork Skills. I believe that there are strong links between the qualification unit and the standalone unit and that, in essence, the assessment evidence would be the same. Of course, assessment evidence needs to be mapped to the correct unit as part of quality assurance expectations.
As the qualification is three credits, this also means that learners would gain the Agored Cymru qualification - Level 2 Award in Work-related Education.
Additionally, the feedback on the standalone unit would require that the unit is rewritten. On my initial review of the unit, there are some areas that I would want to update if I wanted to pursue this particular avenue.
Therefore, due to the existence of a similar unit in a qualification and the work required to update the standalone, Using Teamwork Skills unit, I recommend that the unit be expired and that the centre uses unit AF42CY008 – Level 2 Team Working (3 credits).
