Purpose and Aim:
To provide first line managers with an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in service management.

2.1 Produce a timetable for the completion and submission of all reports required by the funders and commissioners associated with the service.
2.2  Explain the purpose of each report.
2.3  Analyse the structure of these reports.
3. Be able to write a report.
3.1 Produce a report for a contracted service.
4. Understand roles and responsibilities relating to health and safety.
4.1 Explain the responsibilities of staff in relation to health and safety.
4.2  Analyse how health and safety policy is applied in practice in relation to:
  • Building safety
  • Staff, service user and visitor safety
  • Risk assessment
5. Understand how internal and external partnerships operate.
5.1 Explain the relevance of working in partnership with others.
5.2  Identify internal and external partners.
5.3  Explain how partnerships can be maintained.
