At the start of every new consultation an email alert will be sent to all recognised centres via the persons defined as Centre Contacts, Curriculum Contacts and Quality Assurance Contacts. If you are unsure who this is for your organisation you can email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Please note that it is the responsibility of the organisation contacts to share this information within their organisation and partnerships.
This should be forwarded to relevant staff delivering units with the review group to alert them to the need to respond to proposals in the consultation.
All units within a consultation will have been reviewed and potential recommendations for action include:
- Approve– Good unit (to include minor grammatical amends)
- Approve(New code)
- Expire - Non-compliant
- Expire - Duplication
- Expire - Not fit for purpose (sector relevance, legal issues, policy changes etc)
- Expire - Content not available (centres are able to submit the content that they have and currently use, for review purposes if applicable)
A centre can request that any unit be kept when initially marked ‘expire’. A centre needs to inform Agored Cymru within the unit review consultation timeframe if they wish to continue to use units after the expiry date allocated. If any centre wishes to request that units be reconsidered they must submit by email using email@example.com stating the original unit title, unit code, unit level, unit credit with a summary of the request(s).
Following the two month consultation period, work is completed during the evaluation phase to replace those units that centres requested. Centres are expected to work with Agored Cymru on developing the new units.
There will be no charge to centres for the development of new units identified within the unit review timeframe for that cohort.
Please click on the relevant cohort title below to view the units within the review and the current recommendations.
All enquiries regarding the review should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org
