Agored Cymru and Sector Skills Councils (SSCs)

Our remit is to design units and qualifications to meet the needs and priorities of individuals, communities and employers of a modern Wales. Our current plan of provision includes the development of the following qualifications:

• Youthwork
• Welsh in the workplace
• Welsh for families
• Welsh Identity/culture

As the only awarding organization working solely in Wales Agored Cymru is able to understand and offer support on the interaction between Credit & Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW) and Qualification & Credit Framework (QCF) in Wales. A substantial number of our units have already been accepted onto the Quality Assured Lifelong Learning (QALL) pillar of CQFW and we are keen to explore the many ways in which the QALL provision can support progression into QCF.
Agored Cymru is currently working with the following SSCs to respond to employer and learner needs in Wales:

• Skills for Care and development (via Care Council for Wales)
