Charges for Agored Cymru Recognised Centres 2011 - 2012
At Agored Cymru we are proud of the fact that we are a member organisation and a social enterprise. Our suppliers, in the main, are companies based in Wales.
Our charges are established through our membership and as a membership organisation, we offer members discounted rates on some of our charges as well as free training sessions.
These fees relate to the period August 1st to July 31st each year . If you decide to apply for centre recognition, you will be charged an initial fee which will vary depending on:
- your experience in delivering and quality assuring credit based learning;
- whether you take up membership.
This fee covers your organisation to the end of the financial year outlined above (and includes the annual quality review charge). The only other charge you are likely to attract is for the achievements of your learners. Please remember we do not charge an “up front” learner registration fee.

Learner Related Charges.
All our units and qualifications are based on the QCF & CQFW model of levels and credits, one credit being 10 hours of learning time. This means that you only pay for what your learners achieve:
10 learners registered for one credit each – if all achieve – you pay for 10 credits.
10 learners registered for one credit each – if 5 achieve – you pay for 5 credits.
We also base our charges for qualifications the same way. You can look at the full cost of a qualification (credits x current unit cost) and budget for the full award. If you just want to award individual units, or if a learner only partially achieves – that is what you pay for!
