Purpose and Aim:
To equip ESOL parents with the language and essential information required when their child is starting school.

LEARNING OUTCOMES ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The learner will: The learner can:
1. Recognise special events that occur during a named school term.
1.1 Arrange chronologically key events/festivals that take place during the school year.
1.2 Write simple sentences describing the event.
2. Understand how a child will participate in the event.
2.1 Orally describe what the child will wear.
2.2 Describe the food associated with an event/festival.
2.3 Write simple sentences describing activities associated with the event.
