1. Recognise different graphical representations.
1.1 Identify different types of graphical representations, e.g., pie charts, line graphs, bar charts.
1.2 Identify specific features relating to graphs, e.g., axes, data, scale.
1.3 Select the best type of graph for a particular purpose, giving reasons.
2. Know that mean is one sort of average.
2.1 Calculate the mean of a set of data in a practical situation.
2.2 Show that extreme values can distort the mean.
3. Know how range is used to describe data.
3.1 Identify the highest and lowest values in a set of data.
3.2 Use the word ‘range’ to describe data in practical situations.
